Author: Marjan Satrapi
Summary: The novel traverses over the childhood of Marji up to her early adolescence.
Review: This is a memoir written in Graphic Novel form about the Islamic Revolution. The girl's voice is powerful with the authenticity that only a child can posses.
The wording was very honest and I felt that the author left nothing out. It was very raw and even though it was a graphic novel, it felt real and the pictures only enhanced the story and brought it to life. There were a couple spots where I actually cried because I could imagine being in the authors place. I think everyone should read it. This is a book worth buying.
