Waiting on Wednesday: Burning Blue

Hey, guys...I've been keeping this one to myself. Obsessed with it really. I hadn't seen it around the blogosphere much, so I thought I would share since that is only right. I REALLY WANT THIS BOOK. Breath-taking cover. Sly, intriguing synopsis. Ahhh! Anyways, today is Wednesday (check your calendar if you don't believe me...at least it is Wednesday in my part of the world...at this second in the fabric of time). "Waiting on Wednesday" is a meme hosted by Jill from BreakingTheSpine, so visit her page to link up! Here is what I am very anxiously awaiting the release of this week...and until it is published:

Title: Burning Blue

Author: Paul Griffin

Release Day: October 25th, 2012

Summary: (goodreadsWhen Nicole Castro, the most beautiful girl in her wealthy New Jersey high school, is splashed with acid on the left side of her perfect face, the whole world takes notice. But quiet loner Jay Nazarro does more than that—he decides to find out who did it. Jay understands how it feels to be treated like a freak, and he also has a secret: He's a brilliant hacker. But the deeper he digs, the more danger he's in—and the more he falls for Nicole. Too bad everyone is turning into a suspect, including Nicole herself

My Thoughts: Words cannot express how much I long to have this on my bookshelf. I love the premise an the book cover SO MUCH! And I like the how the summary doesn't make point out that it is about minority, (they have Latino last names),  characters, but makes it sound like simply a story that we can all pick up. I do hope there are some cultural things in the actual book since that is always fun. I just like that it isn't so obviously "not white", although I noticed that...Maybe because most books make it about that? Hmm...anyways. Can't wait!
